screaming

  • physical albums aren’t as much about “owning” music to me. tapes wear out, CDs scratch, etc. i lose shit all the time. my limewire days were proof of that when you can make perfect digital copies of files, the concept of ownership is irrelevant anyway.

it’s the reason NFTs were such a scam.

having records, tapes, and vinyl places my media in the physical space with me. i experience everything in a embodied way, rather than everything but the sound existing in cyberspace.

  • While the “load-out” in the every-day tech essentials carry world is more than a lil’ problematic, it kinda makes sense.

As someone obsessed with bags and carrying shit with me, the idea that i would have a “work” or a “gaming” or a “weekend” bag “load-out” makes a lot of sense to me?

  • What polyamory taught me about b2b sales.

Absolutely nothing, but this shit would do numbers on LinkedIn

  • the real problem with ai being used so heavily in education is not …

“omg they cheated and don’t deserve their credential”

    it’s …

“holy fuck, they reduced their whole learning process down to a few prompts and know nothing about what they were ‘studying’.”

the purpose of education is not a piece of paper. its knowledge. its skills. it’s learning how to learn and adapt.

using ai to offload knowledge and learning is shortcut that skips the only thing in education that actually matters.

    and it’s ruining students.

  • i know generational infighting is just meme-ified crabs-in-a-bucket class warfare, but fuck, if i have over hear another gen-z convo where every third word is bro, i will die of cringe.

    no cap. no rizz.

  • ~still~ hot 4 link rot.

  • made the decision to ride a bike with a bud instead of staying home on a saturday night to fuck around on my phone and it was a dub for this lil goblin.

  • On a podcast today I heard about a teenager, that when asked if they would consider deleting their social accounts, they answered…

“No. It’s my lifeline, but also a loaded gun”

    The kids aren’t alright, y’all

  • kinda want to make a drop-shipping store that only sells usb dongles so I can call it “Flying Dongs” or something else dumb like that.

  • Folks are always taking about social media kind of being shit now like social media companies are detached from what they want.

The reality is social apps are not built to be enjoyable, they are built to be sticky. If enjoyment is the best path, it’s just a means to capture as much attention as possible.

We are witnessing the fact that enjoyment and connection aren’t the best way to get people to stay logged on as long as possible. It’s getting to those sweet brain chems as quick as possible, by any means possible.
